Plugin background compilation incredibly slow

Hi, since I last downloaded the plugin a couple of days ago, (diana eap 9848) my cpu (dual core amd athalon 64 5000+) is almost always maxed out in idea as I type scala code. This is a new problem. Anyone else experience it?

I know this. It's problem with implicit convertions, which works very slow. Next update it will be like beta feature, which you can turn off by appropriate option. After resolving this perfomance problems, this option will be deleted. Also I fixed some perfomance issues, so it will work faster then previous releases.

Best regards,
Alexander Podkhalyuzin.

Hi Alexander
Any date on this? Is it a common Maia/Diana build or have we got 2 separate builds?
Thanks
Tim

Is it the same as http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/SCL-928 ?

Good to hear that solution is coming. This poor performance is currently
hindering me from doing any serious Scala development.

Since last update it was more slow, I created option, whoch you can disable, and get perfomance as for previous releases.
Another things, that I moved cyclic references searcher to intentions (It's another thread for highlighting), so it must work faster (theoretically twice faster). Also I fixed some small perfomance issues.
I hope, that you'll see changes, but I can't be sure. So, your issue isn't closed.

Best regads,
Alexander Podkhalyuzin.
