How to turn off line wrapping in .txt files

What about Preferences|Editor|General|Use Soft Wraps ?

Thanks for the response... unfortunately that doesn't help.  Turning soft wraps on caused all editors to wrap (including .rb files).  Turning it off did not affect .txt files which still wrap.

By any chance is the file contains very long string?

Could you please attache a screenshot so I could see what exactly do you see.
