Hi,

it looks like you are unable to install bson gem from RM.  
The first thing to check in such situation on Windows is DevKit.
Are you able to install it from command line?

Hi Oleg,

DevKit was installed, and the command line tests showed it was working correctly.  I wound up uninstalling the bson and other gems by hand, then re-added them manually, and things worked again.  Not sure what the silver  bullet was in all that but I got done in the end.  Thanks for your help.
