TL;DR Rubymine local development server hits breakpoint, but kind of hangs and doesn't let me use the natural debugging functions or show local variables.
I am trying to debug my ruby code from my local development server. I do it by selecting "development" in the context dropdown, and then I click the debug icon. However, when I hit my breakpoint, the server does stop but it doesn't drop into debug. By not dropping into debug, I mean that I can hit the "step over" type buttons once, then Rubymine kind of hangs and nothing happens after that. I don't get the option to step through or see my local variables, the debug "steppers" turn grey and the dropdown showing the multitude of threads goes empty. If you need more information don't hesitate to ask. I tried connecting to the ip listed in this line
Fast Debugger (ruby-debug-ide 0.4.17.beta8, ruby-debug-base 0.11.30.pre4) listens on 127.0.0.1:44416
But nothing happens.
Here is the pertinent part of my gem file.
gem 'ruby-debug-base19x' , '~> 0.11.30.pre4'
gem 'ruby-debug19', :require => 'ruby-debug'
P.S Is there a way I can get it to be more verbose as to why it is kicking the bucket ?
