Is there an approximate release date for RubyMine 3.1.1?

Hi devs,

I know most people hate this kind of question, but even a vague indication of when 3.1.1 will be released will help me decide how to proceed with upgrading a Rails app. The issues with the code inspector, such as reported in RUBY-7684 are quite an impediment because of the large numbers of changes I have to make.

Cheers

Hello Paul,

We are going to publish EAP version for RubyMine 3.1.1 in a couple of days, and most likely we'll have 3.1.1 release in a week or something like this.

Oleg

Hello Paul,

RubyMine 3.1.1 EAP is already available for download: http://blogs.jetbrains.com/ruby/2011/03/rubymine-3-1-1-eap-103-170-bug-fixes-and-performance-improvements/#comments
We had to wait a bit to get some major issues fixed.

Oleg

Oleg,

Does this fix the bug for users who use RVM? This is a pretty serious regression, and I didn't see the bug mentioned in the list of changes.

Looks like it does indeed fix the RVM bug, thanks for this! Looking forward to the "official" 3.1.1 release. :)

Will be there any rendering performance updates for linux?

Hello Miha,

Will be there any rendering performance updates for linux?

No. Are you running RubyMine under OpenJDK or Sun JDK? Have you submitted
CPU snapshots for your rendering performance problems?

Hi!

I've uploaded my snapshot again. Name of the file: RM-103.105_miha_13.03.2011_10.11.53.zip

In synaptic package manager i have jdk related packages: sun-java6-jdk, sun-java6-bin, sun-java6-jre

I assume that is oracle JDK? open-java-jdk is not installed.

I hope that snapshot will help you to determine what is the bottleneck here.

Btw I have graphic card Geforce 9800GT with Nvidia latest proprietary driver.

Hello Miha,

Could you please enable this option in rubymine.vmoptions file:

-Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true

Hope this helps.

Oleg
