Copy/Paste to outside is iffy.

When I highlight/select some text in a window and then 'copy' it, frequently it is not available when I am in a terminal window => vim => insert mode.

Sometimes it appears if I do Ctrl V.

The RubyMine windows and visibility in Debug mode is superb. However, when I select text in the 'Watch' window, copy, and then go to paste it into a vim window, nothing is there, even using Ctrl V.

Why would I do that?  I am still working on character encoding problems - would be nice to copy out the nice looking, correctly displayed string and do an 'od -c' on it to see the actual character encoding.

Hi Bob,

What Java version do you use? What Desktop environment? In case if you are using OpenJDK we strongly recommend you to switch to the Oracle's one, because there lots of known issues.

Oleg

My java version is:

java version "1.6.0_20"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.9.3) (fedora-49.1.9.3.fc14-x86_64)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 19.0-b09, mixed mode)

I'm not so enthusiastic about going with an Oracle product...

Unfortunally RubyMine doesn't officially support OpenJDK.
