Extension is missing for storage file...

Hi,

Installing RubyMine on a new developer box with Leopard. We've cloned the git repo and are doing an Open Directory from RubyMine. When we select the folder that contains the project we don't see anything in this folder, click on "OK" but then get the error: Extension is missing for storage file. What the heck is this and how to get around it? Many thanks!

This is on 2.0 Build RM-19.15 Nov 16, 2009.

Thanks,

Tim

Hello tim,

Could you please provide the full text for the message?

Also, as potential fixes for the problem, please try to upgrade to RubyMine
2.0.1 and, if it doesn't help, delete the ~/Library/Preferences/RubyMine20
directory.

Hi Dmitry,

Thank you for the reply. Believe this was some kind of a permissions issue though might never know as all was blown away and recreated and it worked on the second time.

The developer had a /folder and haddone a git clone in there so had a /folder/railsapp structure. When he did an Open Directory and directed the open dialog to /folder the railsapp folder did not appear. It did not appear in "Brand X" either, but clearly was in an ls or finder.

Probably something really silly.

Thanks very much,

Tim

Hi,
I have exactly the same problem with RubyMine 3.0.1. I created a project using rails (3.0.3) via my shell. When I try to open my project I get the Extension is missing... error. How can I solve this problem?
greetings

Are ".idea" folder or "*.ipr" file exist under project root directory?
