Bug alert!

On Ubuntu 8.10, when a new rails project is created or read into Rubymine, it can arbitrarily refuse to let you edit anything.  The solution is to get out and re-open the project or you may have to exit Rubymine all-together and then try to re-edit.  The permissions are fine.  Is there something that I am overlooking?
Thanks.

Hello Bharat,

Please attach logs files as described in http://www.jetbrains.net/devnet/docs/DOC-1153. Unfortunately without logs it's impossible to understand what can be wrong in your case.

OK Roman.  Next time it happens, I will take the log file and ship it to you.  I manage to fix the problem by a) clicking around, b) getting in and out of the project, and c) getting in and out of rubymine and then it goes away.  It happens only in a new project.  Once a project is Rubymine enabled, then I don't have that problem.  I have to finish a few things today so I will try to create a new project and simulate the problem this afternoon and then I shall be in touch.
Regards,
Bharat

You can try to find it in logs. Log files are text files and includes time stamps for events. Thus you can find information related to that problem.

Hello Roman,
Found the answer here.  This is a very useful feature of your discussion forum,  I saw this link on the sidebar and explored it.  It makes sense and works.  Please consider the issue resolved.
