Default color scheme

Maybe it's just me, but the default color scheme for Ruby code could use some improvement. I think it uses background highlighting too often -- the light blue background for symbols is particularly ill suited for such a common element.

Of course, I know I can change it, but it would be nice to have better defaults.

Hello Marcus,

We use background highlighting for symbols to correctly highlight symbols like :"some_string_here".
In this case we highlight string using green color and background to highlight symbol.

Any ideas with this case?

Hmm, now I understand your decision. I'm somewhat new to Ruby and completely forgot you could construct symbols using string literals.

In any case, I'd rather have :this and :"this" highlighted the same (and change if I really care about it) than have that blue background enabled by default. In my local color scheme I've changed symbols to be highlighted using the same color as constants, without bolding. Maybe more people could share their thoughts on this?
