[GWT] Compilation process files classes into source folders

Hi,

Not sure, whether anyone else observed this.

I have a quite big GWT application and always do the compilation of all classes via ant. In IntelliJ, the respective output folders for the project's modules are defined (some target-folders within the project).

When starting the GWT application (via GWT configuration), the application occasionally starts (re-)compiling, although it should not as the ant-task already has done it.
If it does so, the class files it produces get stored into the source folders of the respective java files (causing some thousands "Unversioned files").
Is there any option to set the output folders for GWT support?

Thanks,
Stefan

Hello,

IDEA cannot detect that your classes are compiled by Ant so it will compile these files again if it is configured to do so.

GWT compiler doesn't produce class files, all class files are produced by Java compiler. Output directory for Java compiler can be changed on 'Paths'
tab of a module editor in 'Project Structure' dialog.

Hi, not sure what you are trying to say.
As mentioned in my previous post "the respective output folders for the project's modules are defined", where "folders" means "Paths".

Maybe these class files are produced by your ant script?

Of course not. That was the first for us to check.
I tried to narrow the point, when those files get created, but could not find a specific setting. It only seems to happen though, when the "build XYZ artifact" is ticked for the GWT configuration being started, although, running the artifact building from the menu does not cause these class files.
Sorry, for not getting it more to the point.

Stefan.

Could you please attach your project configuration files (*.iml files and .idea directory)?
