[ANN] Mercurial Idea 0.1-Diana Follow
The beta version of the Mercurial plugin for Diana is available from http://plugins.intellij.net/plugin/?id=2038. The source repository has a named branch called diana which will get you the source for the Diana version (http://freehg.org/u/garyevesson/mercurialidea/).

Does it require an mercurial installation or is it 100% Java based?
It requires a Mercurial install. There is no native java library that works with Mercurial, nor is there any noise that I have seen to write one.
