updating plugins

I am running Intellij IDEA 6.0.5 on Windows XP.
I am trying to update the installed plugins.
In IDE settings->Plugins the update icon is always greyed out for all installed plugins.
So how can I enable updating the plugins.
I did not have this problem with my 4.5 version of Intellij.

Please let me know.
Thanks.

This usually means that there is no newer version for the plugin.

Can you browse the available (but not installed) plugins ?

Thanks for your reply.

I was able to browse the available (but not installed) plugins.
An example of an installed plugin:
JBoss Integration it says Version 1.0
Now I goto my 4.5.4 installation on a different machine. The same plugin
is at version 1.17.
I want to upgrade the plugin in Intellij 6.0. How do I do it? The "update icon" is greyed out. As I mentioned before it is greyed out for all installed plugins.

Thanks.

The JBoss integration plugin is bundled with IntelliJ IDEA 6.0. So the version
1.0 that it shows is actually newer than the version 1.17 for IDEA 4.5, and
the version 1.17 will not work with IDEA 6. Bundled plugins cannot be upgraded
separately from IntelliJ IDEA itself.

Thanks for the reply.
Now I understand. The versioning numbers are different on different versions of the IDE. Since the plugins are latest, the update icon is greyed out.
I will try this out again when new plugin versions are available.

Again. Thanks for the information.
