JProfiler 4 with IDEA 5

All,

Has anyone had success integrating JProfiler 4 with IDEA 5? I've used the integration wizard in JProfiler to register the plugin, and, in my Plugin settings in IDEA, I see that the JProfiler plugin version 1.3 with support for JProfiler 4 is indeed registered, however, I do not see the profile button next to my Run/Debug configurations list in the tool bar at the top of the main project window. Everything works fine with JProfiler 3 and IDEA 4. I can even use the JProfiler 3 plugin with IDEA 5 (except that I need to profile Java 1.5 apps, so this isn't really a solution). If anyone knows if this can/should work, please let me know. Further, if anyone knows if there is a debug log for the plugins, please let me know how to get to it.

Regards,
Paul

Paul,

JProfiler 4 has been released prior to the release date of IDEA 5.
Therefore the JProfiler 4 distribution doesn't contain the plugin for
IDEA 5 yet. It will be part of the next minor release of JProfiler 4.

Meanwhile you can download the JProfiler plugin for IDEA 5 from the
plugin repository using IDEA's plugin manager (Settings -> Plugins ->
Available -> JProfiler). The current plugin version for IDEA 5 is 2.1.

The JProfiler plugin doesn't write it's own log file. Instead any output
(e.g. exception stacktraces) are logged to IDEA's main log file.

Regards,
Martin

Martin,

thank you very much for the information. This did the trick. I seem to be up and running now.
