ReferenceScanner Plugin installation not complete?

After going through the plugin installation, I get no response from the profiler on localhost:4040 as per the instructions on the plugin home page. Am I missing something to get it started or is the installation just not complete?

The ReferenceScanner plugin shows up in the Installed tab of the IDE settings, however, a corresponding directory is never created in %INTELLIJ_HOME%/plugins.

The plugin is only to show up the source code to memory leaks. It is not the Reference Scanner itself. You need to run your application with Reference Scanner or to start Reference Scanner within your application.

The Scanner works without the plugin but the plugin will not do anything without the scanner.

I actually have no problem running the scanner from outside the application. What I would like to do is run from within the IDE. I tried creating a run configuration that uses com.jb2works.reference.Launcher as the main class and the application in the program parameters.

I have verified that the jb2refscan-2.xx.jar file is in the internal classpath (the library list) that IntelliJ4.5 is using. I get the warning that the Launcher class was not found in my module.

Assign jb2refscan.jar to that module too where your application belongs to. Probably you did setup a lib containing the jar but did not assign the lib to your module.

Finally the jb2refscan.jar must appear on the command line which will be dumped out on the console.
Use CTRL-F to find it.

Do not change IDEAs internal library list itself. Do only add the jb2refscan.jar to your project libraries.
