Synchronizing Error Hightlighting and Code Inspections settings
Is there a way to keep the settings for error highlighting and the setting for the Code Inspection profiles in synch?

In 5.0, it's automatic. Just choose the same profile for inspections and error highlighting. Before 5.0, no, there was no way of keeping them in sync. One more excellent reason to pay for a 5.0 license.
