Tabswitch plugin, anyone ?

Hello,

I miss the tabswitch plugin, a lot!
It would be great if a version for #2051 would be released somewhere.

Thanks.

The current version works fine on 2051, for me anyway.

Any suggestions for a good key combination since Ctrl+Tab is taken?

Doesn't work for me either. I reinstate CtrlTab and CtrlShift+Tab and this
is what I get when I press them:

Yep, Ctrl+Tab. It's so standard (at least across Windows programs) that I don't see any reason why one would keep it assigned to anything else (and the fact that JetBrains wanted to keep it so doesn't count :).

IntelliJ, please take this plugin into default distribution.

I agree!
Ctrl-tab capabilities are standard in most multiple document applications.

By current version you mean 0.7 dated 2003 (the one listed in the plugin
manager) ?!

Yes, but... if this were truely a multiple document application, you would be able to tile or arrange as many windows within the main application frame as you wanted at the same time. BTW, I do agree on the Ctrl-tab assignment. "BoD" ]]> wrote in message news:c94vvn$pjg$1@is.intellij.net...

Not JB. Swing components grab the Control-tab.

Sometime ago I had a similar problem: A client wanted the up/down keys
to behave like the tab/shift-tab keys and couldn't without many changes
- the components where grabing the keys and I would have to go change
this in (almost) all the components. I still hope to do this sometime
in the future, but time is short :(

I have version 0.7.1 , attached.

Don't know where I got it, I think someone probably posted a fixed
version on this forum somewhere?

Well, I don't know who grabs it (my experience with swing is practically 0), I'm just happy I can assign it to the tabswitch action (rather than keeping it assigned to changing the active split window). And I just presumed it was JetBrains' decision to use it for that, since the shortcut was not used before having the split windows functionality.

Anyway, I also think the tabswitch plugin should be part of the main product. Used through Ctrl+Tab, of course. ;)

Thank you very much!
Works with #2057 too.
It would be cool to put it on the wiki page...
