What does it support?

Near as I can figure it must be something that lets the IDE do all the work for three months out of the year so you can go out and plant flowers in the garden! ;)

Well, you're probably being funny, but this is the framework I'm referring to:

http://www.springframework.org

here's their ide feature list:

http://springframework.sourceforge.net/spring-ide/eclipse/

A little dated, the mailing lists have more current info...

Interesting. My company is starting to use spring in multiple projects. I am pushing spring personally (The TDD plugin uses it already as an alternative container to IDEA's ).
Oh well I wish I had more time ;)

Don't we all. ;o)

I've really been impressed with the quality of the code and the design for this framework. We're looking at using it in an increasing number of areas. Currently used for wiring factory implmentations together.

Can't wait to see their JMS stuff this summer, too...

I completely agree with your quality assessment. I have seen too many successful OS project be crap inside. I won't name names like jakarta and struts. Oops I just did!
Take a look at beanutils for example and be prepared to be amazed. Don't spend too much time looking for tests too ;-P

With spring you can use the test as documentation!!!
