Longer description
TMate plugin adds transactions support to the CVS version control integration. It consists of the server that continuously monitors CVS repository and IDEA plugin that displays found CVS transactions in the IDEA tool window.
TMate Server is implemented as a web application and requires JDK 1.4 and supports CVS repositories accessible through the pserver protocol. TMate Server could be installed locally or on the dedicated computer.
TMate Client is an IDEA plugin that allows to configure remote TMate Server and displays up to date CVS transactions collected by the TMate Server.
TMate IDEA plugin available via the PluginManager includes both TMate Client and TMate Server.

Hi Alexander,
Any news/plans for the web transaction viewer? Or a standalone version of the plugin? Most of my team mates use WSAD and they'd like to have the functionality TMate offers, but they're not ready to switch to IDEA, yet. :)
Thx,
Andrei
Hello Andrei,
I'm planning to release TMate 1.0 without web client. However I suppose web transactions viewer will be included into TMate 1.0.1 release that will follow the first release soon. Accordingly to my current schedule TMate 1.0 will be released in a week and a half or so and web client early access version will be available soon (in a week or earlier) after the first release.
Also, if TMate will gain some popularity among IDEA users there even could be an Eclipse version that will work with WSAD as well, but there is no final decision yet. I do not think that standalone version is required - there is finite number of IDEs around and to make TMate usable it is better to provide a plugin for each IDE rather then standalone version.
By the way, may I ask you whether exception in "pending update" view persists in the latest TMate builds? Did reindexing help to solve this problem?
Thanks,
Alexander Kitaev.

OK, cool.

I see. The reason I'm asking is that we're just 2 developers using IDEA in a large team standardized on WSAD/Eclipse. If there was something the other members of the team could use (web, standalone, whatever) it would be way easier to justify the budget for TMate (provided you still plan to sell it :).

No, it didn't solve it. I was planning to do more testing (inlcuding a complete reinstall of the server, eventually) and get back to you. I just haven't got to it, yet. :(
I'll let you know as soon as I have more details.
Thanks,
Andrei
Yes, I'm planning to sell TMate and I will try to include web access as soon as possible :) However, the first version may not be as feature-rich as the IDEA TMate plugin.
Thank you very much! I think it should work fine now, however if there will be any problems/exceptions your feedback is welcome!

Good news: the last build (0.0.42) fixed the problem, the pending updates stuff works now. And it's really nice, I must say. :)
Thanks,
Andrei
