Is there a way to copy a given file (jsp, xml, properties etc) to an arbitrary directory on saving that file?

Consider this scenario where I have my development tree under directory /projects/application/ and an application server that loads files from /appserver/webapp/war-dir. In this situation, I have to manually copy my jsp files to the war directory after I am done editing them. This is rather painful.

I am told by the eclipsophiles on my project that eclipse has a built-in feature which does this automatically for them. The closest thing to this functionality that I have found is the "copy resources to target directory on compile" feature of IDEA but that does not work for JSPs.
Any suggestions?
