question about VCS changeProvider#getChanges

I'm just witnessing something strange : i have opened 2 different projects using 2 different VCSs. 1 on subversion and one on MKS.

The MKS server is very slow and consequently changeProvider#getChanges takes ages to complete for this project.

What's strange is that the subversion project changes toolwindow stays blank too, is this expected ?
