SQL-Plugin : Problem parsing multi-line sql statements

It seems like the current release of the SQL-Plugin has problems parsing sql statements split over multiple lines.
The cpu usage goes to 100% and I can only stop this by moving the cursor to the top of the sql textarea or by minimizing the plugin.

Can anybody else reproduced this behaviour?

I need a little more information to fix this bug.

  • What database and driver do you use?

  • What plugin version?

  • Example Statement which creates the problem.

Thanks, Stefan.

Of course, here it comes:

Complete content of query area:

Please note the newline after the opening brace for the values.
Now try to remove the closing ' of the description-string and putting it back in. The cpu goes to 100% and I can only stop that, by minimizing the toolwindow or switching to a different query tab. The problem returns when I come back to the first query tab.

I'm using IDEA Build 977, Plugin 1.3.3 and Oracle Thin Driver.

Thanks
Frank

Do you have potentially a row lock on that table. This might be a reason
that the DB is waiting for commit/rollback.

Does this work?

insert into systemconfiguration (name, value, description) values (
'name', 'value', 'description');
commit;

Yes, i can run the statement without problem. My impression is not that the plugin accesses the database while editing sql, am I wrong here?

The query is just an example, I am experiencing the same behaviour with lots of different queries (select,update,insert) on different tables.

For me it seems to be independent of tables and columns but only dependent on the queries syntax.

Thanks, the info helped. I will fix it in the next release.

Bye,
Stefan.
