StarTeam 'file not found in starteam repositry' error

i'm having a problem integrating with starteam. heres my setup:

Win 2k,
StarTeam 5.1 using tcp/ip (sockets) and RSA RC4 stream cipher.
Using starteam sdk from stargate sdk 5.2
and IDEA 3.0.2

The connection test works successfully, but still getting the error. The working folder paths within starteam are the same as the files that i am working on within IDEA. Ive tried running debug but cant get any more information. has anyone else had this problem? or knows how to get round it without me having to start messing with the plug-in code.

cheers,

Mark

Mark,

What have you tried so far? Have you tried clicking "refresh" from the project root folder? Did you click "Mark Project as Current" right after setting up the project to use StarTeam? Could you also respond with what your project directory structure looks like and where the file is that you are trying to check-in? I am assuming that you are checking in a file, right?

Thanks,

justin

justin,

sorry for taking so long to reply.
yup, i've tried clicking refresh from the project root, and Mark project as current, when i clic 'check in project..' It says that theres nothing top check in. when i click 'check out' or 'diff' I get an error saying ']]> not found in starteam repositry'.

intellij project directory structure:

project: C:\smartgroups\Components\Java\Source\com
sourcepath: C:\smartgroups\Components\Java\Source

starteam :
project name: WEB - SmartGroups
folders within starteam: web - SmartGroups\Components\Java\Source
complete working path of source (checked out): C:\smartgroups\Components\Java\Source

I thought it might be a problem with the stream cipher we are using, could that be the case?

cheers,

Mark

i had the same same problem (at least looked the same)
make sure what you have set as working folder is your view root and not your
sources' root.

We have the same problem here. What I assume as root problem is that the logical path in the Starteam view differs from the physical one for the folder in question. For me, it seems the Starteam plugin just gets the folder hierarchy like it is e.g. in the left panel of the Starteam GUI.
