Q: How to add an action to debug panel?

The one which is only visible during the debug, on a left side of debug window. I've tried GROUP_DEBUGGER without a result. Thanks in advance.

:) Waw, look like i started writing plugin? Congrats!
So, to look inside actions IDs, take a look at resources.jar/idea/ActionManager.xml

Then you get id. You may place action definition into your plugin.xml

Thanks!

Yep, I'm trying... not sure I can invest lots of time in this, but still... coding IDEA plugins seems to be a mistery - I can't even find a single good tutorial...
Your samples are actually of a great help, thanks...
The biggest concerns are: I still can't place my action's icon in that panel... in a file you've mentioned there seems to be not all actions/groups, for example I couldn't find anything TODO related... Second concern is that I'm really not sure how to hook in debugger events - is this possible to listen to all these set-in, step-out, breakpoin created, and so on events and produce new?
I'm not sure if its possible to predict the next method hat will be executed on a step-in... if jpda supports it...
So, not much results by now, but its kinda fun, I think I'll put some time to investigate all this...
btw, saw your futuer book realted blog - any chance to get this "chapter 15 about plugins" ? :) Not sure if anyone need 500 pages to use IDEA, frankly I think it is the IDEA's strength - that u don't need to read anything to use it - its just so intuitive...
