Variable name format

Is there a way in the OpenAPI to modify the format of variable names
suggested by idea? My boss insists on having variables in the format
this_is_a_local_variable
instead of
thisIsALocalVariable
It would be nice to have idea do this automatically since I'm too lazy
to type all variable names by hand :)

Upgrade your boss.
Seriously.

I'll second that one.
Your boss needs to do some serious learning about code conventions in the
Java Programming Language.

There is no excuse for writing bastardized code.

As much as I agree with you, there's not a lot I can do about it. He
claims the code is more legible that way. In my own codebase I simply
ignore his request, but when working on common code I have to comply.
Anyway, I'll take these answers as "no, it's not possible" :D

Guys! :)
It just human sence relative issue :)

So, the Perijn try to say us about configurable naming convensions in codestyle.

I guess is good idea! :)

You could perhaps propose a petition to your boss (hopefully he is open
minded), to point out how many people agree/disagree with him and the
potential problems of insisting on such ugly conventions.

I'm sure there would be a >= 95 % "disagree rate".
If it was my opinion that was being rated (and 95% disagree), I'd sit down a
re-evaluate my reasoning and perhaps consider trusting the opinions of other
people more than my own.

Who knows, it's worth a shot - any decent boss will appreciate you pointing
out his/her mistakes (as opposed to taking it as an attack on his/her ego).

Good luck !

Excuse me, i have bad English, sure.
I say about, that will be nice to have configurable naming convensions for autoformating. Now wee have configurable only code style.
Thanks!
