Not able to select JDK on mac os x

I am able to install without a hitch and creat a project/file but when i

try to compile, I receive a warning that JDK is not specified. This in turn
opens the project properties and this is where the trouble lies. when I
select the ellipses next to Target JDK, A configure JDKs window open but I
am unable to select anything. the name and JDK home path: fields do not
accept input, the Classpath/SourcePath/Javadoc tabs are not selectable and I
am only able to press OK or Cancel.

I am running the latest version 3.0.5

Click a "plus" button which will allow to "create" a new JDK.
