ALT key focusing main menu when executing refactorings and interrupting flow

Pretty well 99% of the time, when I execute a refactoring via the
keyboard that has ALT as part of it (e.g. I have CTRLALTF as Extract
Field) when the ALT key is released, the main menu will become focused
and I must press Escape to carry on working.

Is anyone else seeing this?  It's incredibly annoying and interrupts my
flow big time.  I think this has happened since the non-modal
refactorings have been put in... I guess before the dialog would have
swallowed the errant ALT event that is causing this...

Does this really affect no one else but me?

Cannot reproduce it for now, but usually this issues with Alt pressing occur,
if look and feel is Windows. Maybe different look and feel can help.

Hi Alexander,

Thanks for the reply, yes indeed I am running with Windows LAF, I didn't
think of that.  I must have changed it some time ago and not thought
about it since.

Changing back to the default does seem to fix it.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I've not noticed the menu stealing focus, but 'introduce variable' has been irritating me. There seems to be a relatively new popup that asks if it should be final or not, quite often that'll steal the focus (1/3 times) and I can't just continue typing as I could in IDEA 2 through till 10.

Also running WIndows PLAF, wonder if its a related fault? However I much prefer the font rendering Windows LAF offers and personally find the other options just aren't up to scratch - when was Alloy last updated? 2003?.

It is indeed down to the Windows LAF, since I switched back to default, it's been fine.
I changed the IDE font to Segoe UI in the Appearances tab and it looks a lot better, in fact I don't miss the Windows LAF at all really.
