Please publish release notes for minor versions

I am on Linux and although updating is not rocket science, it is hardly a one-click activity either, I have to download, install, update symlings, menu's... and for what? That is what I want to know. I get the "Platform and Plugin Updates A new version of IntelliJ IDEA is available!" and link toclick where I can download it. There I see the release notes for the major version but nothing about what is new/fixed in the minor one so I have no idea if there is anything that concerns me.

Please, publish the release notes soI know what I can skip and if I don't skip it, so I know what changes I can expect.

It looks like known problem with notifications. We actually provide release notes for each EAP versions (and patch from previous EAP version). As work around try calling check for update several times.

Ok, third time I pressed check for update I got new options, among them 'Release Notes' that contained the info I requested. It also gave me the option 'Update and Restart', the same as I used to get on my Mac. That is very convenient. Maybe this bug (that the automatic popup and the first manual 'Check for Updates' leave us without Relase notes and manual install) will be fixed in... 14.1.5?

It is not obvious that one should do several *Check for updates" to get to the right place...

Anyway, thanks.

You can just change the channel for major releases as work around.
Additionally, it will be possible to ignore "new version available" notification
