GAE/GWT New Project from Existing Eclipse Source

I have had so many issues with configuring a project, I decided to move my project over to Eclipse.  I managed to get everything working under Eclipse and Deployed to Appengine hosting site.  I have to say I missed a lot of the Intellij features, so I have decided port back to Intellij.  But I can no longer fight with configuration, so please help me port my Eclipse project back to Intellij.

I created a new project from existing source, and picked the directory where all the Eclipse code is.  It found my "war/WEB-INF/lib" directory and created library.  It found my facets web, gwt, spring.  Everything looks good and compiles.  I then created a new GWT debug config, where I set the GWT Shell Parameters to "-server com.google.appengine.tools.development.gwt.AppEngineLauncher".  This is done to all GWT Hosted Mode to run a GAE server.

I then debug and get this result in the GWT Hosted Mode window:
[ERROR] Unable to start AppEngine server
com.google.apphosting.utils.config.AppEngineConfigException: Could not locate /Users/jeffg/Library/Caches/IntelliJIDEA90/gwt/CityWars.CityWarsd6b21e91/CityWars.cd7d934e/run/www/WEB-INF/appengine-web.xml

PS I have had lots of troubles with Cache being used to run.  I have gotten a lot of out sync and strange behaviour (magic reads of the local_db.bin that I deleted).  Plus it is really hard to understand how a project is running.  Please move this to use the Exploded directory or some other directory under the output directory ("out").  Thanks.

PSS I am currently forced to do my development in Eclipse.
