IDEA X first impression
1.) I really like the UI changes for the OS-X version.
2.) The file icons (for AS/MXML) are nice
3.) Unfortunately the Atlassian plugin (2.3.0/2.3.1-SNAPSHOT) throws an exception upon GIT commit. I am not decided yet, if I revert to IDEA 9 just for that issue. Since this is EAP, the Atlassian fix will probably take a long time. Damn.

very puristic UI - I like it a lot & I'm impressed.
First impression? Fast, fast, fast. Much more efficient memory usage.
All the rest is what I've always known and loved so far. Just better.
IDEA X is really fun to use! I'm totally impressed - worth to say it again :-)
I do not like the new scrollbars in IDEA X. They are way too narrow and makes it harder to scroll.
I guess I've gotten used to scrolling mouses and trackpads. I haven't used a scrollbar in ages.
Why was it necessary to invent a new scrollbar?
On my Mac I expect the active scrollbars to be the standard Mac Blue -- its not easy to see the grey scrollbar. Plus it does not have the arrows at the end that Mac scrollbars are supposed to have. The other widgets, i.e. buttons, dropdown menus, etc. look like native Mac widgets.
I give the scrollbar changes a thumbs down.
I agree. I dont like the new scrollbars on MacOS. They are not native looking and just look odd.
I actually prefer the old scrollbars.
I must admit that I love the new scrollbars, although at first I wasn't sure.
The new scrollbars are extremly classy - much nicer than the ugly Aqua (my personal taste) stuff. Please leave them in!

too, so I can live with it being thinner - it has just become an
indicator for my position in code.
If you're scrolling around a lot using the scrollbar, maybe you should
take that as a sign that you aren't using the more intelligent forms of
navigation, such as the structure toolwindow/popup, as much as you should...

I think I don't mind the new scrollbars much, but in the project view, every time I collapse a tree, the scollbar finds it necessary to fade in/out. It's a bit annoying, so it would be great if the scrollbar didn't do that. And the Checkbox in the IntelliJ icon (when indexing is complete) is a nice touch! It's also great that you (finally.......) fixed the keyboard navigation in the project view! If you could now fix the dependency list, I'm glad to pay my money for it!
