The current AspectJ plugin in IJ is quite limited and in fact does not work that well. I have had very simple pointcuts simply not work get advised properly: i got this validated by members of the aspectj forum.
Will IJ10 integrated AspectJ include
a) more comprehensive support for AspectJ - beyond the Spring AOP
b) Realtime visualization of advised methods. Right now, any time I make any change to pointcuts, I have to rebuild the entire project from scratch and then find out in runtime whether the
methods are advised. That is clearly a non-usable scenario
c) Fix bugs with methods not getting properly advised, even using the limited support of execution() pointcuts
I really like IJ, it has been my tool since V6 but clearly I can not mix IJ with AspectJ at this time. It would be really nice to not have to revert to eclipse just in order to use ADJT.
