Purchasing IDEA 8.x -> 9.0 License Upgrade

For some reason I cannot upgrade with my IDEA8 key. It's telling me my key
is invalid. My friend tried his IDEA8 personal license as well and it told
him that key couldn't be upgraded.

Anyone else having this issue?

As far as I understand, you'll be able to buy a license upgrade once IntelliJ
IDEA 9.0 final (not the release candidate) is out. This should happen very
soon.

In order to test the RC build, you can use a 30-day evaluation license.

So... No email notification from the sales staff when upgrade purchase is available? Last time around, I was notified by email.

Sure, I'm aware of that.

I wasn't sure whether the procedure had changed. I seem to recall (but vaguely) that when it came time to upgrade to 8.0 that we'd been notified a little earlier in the cycle.

I was able to upgrade some 3 weeks ago. You should probably contact Jetbrains sales

eh, I now I see whats the problem: I was upgrading from older version (at my former company we had Commercial licences)

yay, just bought my 9.0 copy online -- 9.0 final is out and purchasing is
working!
