Where do you set up groovy SDK?

Answered

In the EAP, looks like groovy is no longer a facet.  We are confused as to where you configure the Groovy SDK, it's inconsistent with how Ruby and Java work.  Where is the config?  Thanks!

John,

Groovy SDK should be visible in "Project Structure | Modules | <Module_Name> | Dependencies". If it's not ther you should get yellow notification that GroovySDK was not set.

I get that yellow indication.

But when I try to set an SDK up and navigate to my groovy installation directory, I can not set it up because the OK button stays greyed out.

From the Groovy-related Configuration Changes blog posting:

Also, you can now write Groovy code and get full coding assistance with compilation as long as you have Groovy jars anywhere in a module classpath. Together with the new compiler Resource patterns path constraints feature (/ - path separator; /**/ - any number of directories) this made Groovy facet obsolete. So, there is no Groovy facet anymore.

If you right click your module node in the project tree and select "Add Framework...", IDEA will allow you to create a global or project library of the Groovy SDK and add it as a dependency. You could also manually create and add the library.
