quasiquotes not working in IJ14 on Mac Mavericks and Yosemite

After installing the newly released IJ14 Community Edition - the quasiquotes (which had been working on IJ13) popped up on the radar.

I tried it on Mavericks and all quasiquote come up as "red" on the "q".  Today I upgraded to Yosemite - and the same behavior continues.

Note;  I have verified (again) that the same code works fine in IJ13.  Is there an IJ setting to fix this?

The codebase I am using is the spark master  from  https://github.com/spark.git

Note: I can not add an image: that feature is presently broken for me (Google chrome on OS/X Yosemite 10.10)
