"Check AIR Version" when trying to debug on Android device through USB

Hello community,

I'm currently developping an application for Android using AS3 and AIR. It's working welle in the emulator, it's also working when I package it and deploy it on the device. I have latest AIR version installed on it.
But when I try to debug it through USB, there 's an Alert Popup that displays right after clicking Debug (I don't even think it has the time to package it), entitled "Check AIR Version" and the SDK version number (so I guess the expected AIR version number) as the content.
Since I have the right version installed on my devices (tried it on Sony Xperia SP and Asus Nexus 7), I don't know how to fix this problem.
So thanks in advance to anyone who will help me finding a way to fix this.

You seem to use some old version of IntelliJ IDEA. Consider upgrading to 13.1.4.

Indeed; I have version 12.1.4, but I really don't need any new feature of version 13.1.4. But I can't see why I couldn't use this debugging over USB feature in v12.

AIR SDK that you want to use was released much later than IntelliJ IDEA 12. Two years ago we couldn't expect that after version 4 the next is 13.

Okay I'll check with trial version.
Thank you

Hello there. I have left my project for a few month starting a new native Android project.
I have now Intellij Idea 14, and I tried testing my older AIR mobile project again, and I still have this same error (cf. attached file).

In fact that's a different issue, easy to workaround: you need to remove _JAVA_OPTIONS from the OS environment variables.
