YAML support?

Hello Jens,

The last screen shot on the release notes summary page for the current
Diana EAP build (8810) shows a "YAML" tab in the "Colors & Fonts"
settings. Does that mean that YAML is supported by IDEA? And if so,
how can it be turned on? If not, is it part of a plugin? (Which one?)

YAML is supported in the Ruby plugin, which will be released for Diana very
soon.

I see. Is there any chance that this might get "split off" the Ruby plugin? I have been toying with the idea of a plugin for which YAML support would be quite valuable because it would be used for configuration; and making that plugin (which has nothing to do with Ruby) depend on the Ruby plugin seems a bit awkward.

I'm not sure. YAML is heavily used in the Ruby community, and having the
Ruby developers download two plugins instead of one to get the functionality
they require is a bit awkward too.

yaml is also needed in php frameworks like symfony and flow3. what are php developers suppose to do?
