IDEA memory settings with Environment variable?

Is there a default environment variable that IDEA look for at startup for passing settings?
I'm looking for something like IDEA_OPTS.

My problem under OS X is that I have to edit the Diana/Content/Info.plist for each every release (and there's a lot with the EAP).
That also causes problem when patching IDEA with updates.

I remember using IDEA_PROPERTIES under Windows. Would that work also under OS X?
