Maia look and feel
I am pleased with the improved performance and stability of Maia as compared to Diana 8.1.2 doing fulltime Flex development. But I am disappointed about the ongoing homespun look and feel of the application. Flat icons, the whole 2D look, the splashscreen inidicates version 8, so I am not even aware that I start the EAP. I think IDEA is the most productive Java/Flex IDE but I have to admit that Eclipse/Flex Builder is visually _much_ more pleasing to the eye. There are cool frameworks out there (e.g. JIDE) - how about a little brushup?

Peter

I believe you can plug-in your own look & feel, e.g. something like this:

I never did it myself I am quite happy with L&F's provided right now..
I always found eclipses colour scheme depressingly dull and that IDEAs bright and a pleasure to use
One of the reasons that I don't like eclipse is the look and feel, although I don't use Flex
Have you got a screenshot of the Eclipse/Flex Builder?
I've always loved the IntelliJ UI responsiveness and really well thought out.
But i also have to admit that the different borders around panels are very unpleasant to the eye.
It shows especially in the screenshot you posted

Homespun? You mean Alloy Look and Feel? It is a commercial laf and quite good looking imo, but it is a matter of taste. Flex Builder is just a Eclipse with round tabs turned off. And it's EAP. Features first, cosmetics last so better close the more aesthetic demanding eye . Once again app looks is a matter of taste, so don't count on big change .
