Reparsing files...

Is it expected that IDEA reparses all my files whenever I install a new
build? I can imagine a need for reparsing between major or even point
versions, as the internal data structures might change, but I just
upgraded from 9684 to 9712, and guess what... the dreaded Parsing Files
dialog comes along to break my workflow...
The only bonus is that it does seem a bit quicker these days...

Hello Nathan,

Yes, it is expected. Many builds contain some fixes in the indexing process,
so we rebuild the indexes to ensure that data which might have been indexed
incorrectly by previous builds is now reindexed correctly.

I too have this problem. Intellij seems to re-parse jdk libs over and over again. Note my Intellij is not crashing, hanging or doing unclean restarts. I can see rebuilding the cache after a crash. But this is not the case for me.
