Latest stable version of IntellJ IDEA 12 is 12.1.7b? Permanently deleted user Created May 18, 2014 18:02 Hi.In this page, I found Latest stable version of IntelliJ IDEA 12 as 12.1.7.So I downloaded it from that link for OSX.But It was actulally 12.1.7b.Is that correct? I also found 12.1.7.
12.1.7b is the latest 12.1.x release. Although rare, a 'b' release will occur sometimes. I think that JetBrains cuts them if there was a issue with the packaging of the release.

I'll use 12.1.7b.
