"Edit" a macro consists of : (a) being able to rename it or (b) removing it or (c) removing one task. That's it. That is not editing.. that is more like managing. We should have an editor.
There is no "copy" macro.
There is not ability to insert/change tasks within a macro
Editor actions that require access to the Menu or any special keystrokes are not supported.
Now if EditPlus on Windows (a simpler program overall) can get much more usable macros, why can not Intellij?
Here is a usability issue example: I have created a macro called le (line ending) that I used to insert repetively a text sequence at the end of a line. I want to reuse that macro but with a different text sequence. There is no way to do this. I can not (a) tell the macro to use the current search/replace buffer value (it hard codes the value in the macro!!) (b) edit the macro to change the text value or (c) copy the macro and then edit it.
Very primitive and nearly unuseful.
A screenshot is attached showing the limited capacity to work on macros.
