Hello Spencer,

looking forward to it...

It will not start showing in Diana EAP builds. The Python plugin will be
released separately through the plugin manager.

The question remains the same: when?

yeah, me wonders too...enquiring ants want to know :-)...also, was wondering what all does "Python support" entail ? I'm thinking at least Syntax highlighting, Debugger, Code completion and possibly Refactorings...is this in the ball park?

The initial EAP release will not include a debugger and will only support
the basic refactorings (move/rename). Later versions will include a debugger
and possibly more refactorings. Syntax highlighting and a certain amount
of code completion will be supported in the initial release.

I'm also wondering...

where is the best place to look for the announcement when it's released?

The announcement will be posted to the plugins forum, and also likely on
the IDEA blog at http://blogs.jetbrains.com/idea

Hi,
Was wondering if there was any news about the Python plug in or a more specific place to check status. Thanks.
