What's up with Selena (7.0.5)?

There have been no new builds of the 7.0.5EAP since 8/29? Is that still being worked on?

One certainly hopes so, since the debugger problem (can't kill program while stopped at a breakpoint) has not been fixed, contrary to the release notes for this latest EAP.

And yes, I did update the JIRA (both of them).

Not really. We'll probably publish a new EAP build in a few days, which rolls
back most of the recent changes related to the behavior of "Stop" in the
debugger, but other than that, we're not actively working on 7.0.x bugfixes
and don't have any definite plans for an official 7.0.5 release.

If you're going to abandon the most recent version when the new one comes out, you really should be a little more generous about upgrade pricing. We're essentially being forced to upgrade.

We aren't changing our policy now. There were no 6.0.x updates after 7.0
was released. Same for 5.1.x and 6.0.

Of course, if some really important and critical bug is suddenly discovered,
this may be a sufficient reason to release an update to a version previous
to the current major release. But usually a year is long enough to make sure
that there are no such bugs in the latest major release.
