What are the JBoss Server Settings Username and Password for?

If I create a new JBoss Run Configuration, there are Textfields to enter Username and Password.
But I don't see them having any effect.
Where and whatfor are those used?
Neither the UI nor the Help says anything about this.
Deployment works just fine without having anything in those fields and also with invalid credentials in there.
