pinning my cpu frequently

IDEA is basically pinning my cpu at fairly often intervals but I cannot attach captures because they are too big. can i email it to anyone directly?

Are they too big even after you compress them with zip or gzip? Text files usually compress to very large ratios.

yeah the capture button zips it by default. still to large.

I'm having the same problem, but I can't get CPU capture to work, unfortunately...

But better would probably be to create a JIRA ticket and attach the cpu snapshot to it I guess

You probably took memory snapshot, not CPU one if it is that big. Anyway there's write only ftp://ftp.intellij.net/.upload you can upload your snapshot to. Drop me a line at mailto://max@jetbrains.com with a file name.

im still getting this alot in 7.0.1, not sure how to better report this. no snapshot option in release builds.

All i see is lower corner spinning, "synchronizing files"

Please download 7.0.2 EAP from http://www.jetbrains.net/confluence/display/IDEADEV/Selena+EAP
and try to reproduce the problem on that build. It does have an option of
capturing CPU snapshots enabled by default.

Update: seems like unchecking "Synchronize files on frame activation" has helped clear this up for me.
