IDEA 7 and TeamCity 1

It appears that IDEA 7 is not compatible with TeamCity 1 - whenever I try to log in to the server, I get a java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/intellij/ide/reporter/AuthorizationFailedException

My company has decided not to upgrade TeamCity (or even to IDEA 7 - I'm using my own personal license) on old projects, TeamCity 2 will only be used for new projects (never mind the plugin incompatibilties!).

Is there any way to get IDEA 7 working with TeamCity 1?
