Release progress

Hi IDEA-team,

In the last days you moved a couple of issues from the Selena version to the
next one, even bugs.

Are you now in the last 5% time-frame before the Selena release? Should we
encourage you to fix bugs moved to the next version which seem important for us?

Cheers,
Tom

Yes, and yes.

Some indication of whether you plan a point release relatively soon
after 7.0 which includes fixes to the aforementioned bugs may help abate
a storm of encouragement to favour each of our pet peeves here :)

Hello Nathan,

As usual, we'll have point releases after 7.0 (7.0.1 etc.), but it's hard
to tell now what exactly will be in scope for them. Last year we had a fairly
major 6.0.2 update, but we don't know yet if we'll have (or need) anything
like that this time.

A question for you - as far as I can tell, IDEADEV-21182 doesn't seem to have the "fix for" field filled in. Does this mean this one won't be fixed prior to the final release? Not being able to have change markers when working offline is a big issue for me.

This issue should actually be fixed in the RC1 build. Looks like we got two
JIRA issues for the same problem, and only one of them was marked as resolved.

Hi Dmitry

It is better in the 7318 build but still has problems. I have two projects - one has had the CVS changes tab configured to refresh Incoming and Repository changes every 30 minutes. With this project, the "work offline" dialog appears after a while. It doesn't matter if I click "work offline" or not, no change markers appear.

With the second project, no CVS refreshes have been configured for the Changes tab. I do not get the "work offline" dialog appearing and after a minute or two, the change markers do show.

BTW, I have never been able to get the Incoming or Repository Changes to work properly. When I try and configure it, the rlog command starts to run and after reading 9kb of data from the server, just sits there forever. Only one file ever shows up in the Changed Files section.

Thanks,
Ian

It is stilled planned for Selena Final, but here is some encouragement anyway: Please include a production version of the Eclipse compiler in the final release of IntelliJ IDEA 7.0
http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEADEV-11223
