ClearCase support - "Commit Changes" window issues

Hi, see 1.png attached and:

1) The window uses the term "Change list" which is very familiar to me from using Perforce
but ClearCase uses the term "Activity" for the same thing so it seems like it's a
better term to be used.

2) One can't change the activity (I'll stick to using this one instead of "change list")
of the files when they're submitted - files are submitted under same activity they're
currently checked out. Same thing happens in the ClearCase. But it would be very
comfortable if user could change the activity of the files when they're submitted.
Today, if I check out the file in activity A but would like to submit it in activity B
I need to go to activity properties and use "Move to Activity" (2.png attached) which is
rather a lengthy and uncomfortable way (I remember how comfortable it was in P4Win to
just drop the files between different changelists).

If IDEA could help us in moving files between activities (drag-n-drop kind of thing or
may be during submit where one could choose the activity) - I think it would be a
very-very welcome feature !

3) I work in the same CC view for a long time and have different activities used all the
time. When I done dealing with activity and submit the files I mark it as "Obsolete"
(3.png) so that it doesn't appear in "Check In" window of CC (4.png).
But I see IDEA still displays all of them in "Commit Changes" window.

Shoul I open a JIRA for it ?

2) - "Move to another Changelist" didn't work for me, i.e it caused no effect at in CC, the file was still opened in the same activity it was before.

Also - you use both "Changelist" and "Change list" terms in the same window, see the image attached (on top of not using "Activity" instead :) )

Yes, I know. So far we have yet no API to change these particular literals
across the Changes infrastructure. I'll think how to do that.

Happily, this functionality is already present. If you D'n'D file from one
Changlist to another, this will emulate the changing of the activity after
the checkin. This works the following way:
1. you d'n'd file from CL1 to CL2 (CL2's activity may not exist in CC).
2. You commit file from CL2.
3. It is committed into CL1's activity and then "ct chactivity -nc -fcset
-tcset " is performed. Is that suitable for such workflow? EG> 3) I work in the same CC view for a long time and have different activities used all the EG> time. Hi,

Is that suitable for such workflow?

Nice, thank you ! I've just tried drag-n-dropping files between different activities in the "Changes Local" panel and it worked fro me. Very well indeed

Just to make it clear, "activities" are only present in UCM. There is no such thing in "Base ClearCase" model (which our project is using at the moment), therefore "change lists" would be more appropriate.
Of course, CC plugin could be intelligent, and choose "change list" vs. "activity" depending on the model in use.
