The flip-flap syndrom is back

Since M2 it seems that IDEA has the same problem that months ago. As soon as you have two open-projects and that you get an event in any of the windows, the focus is lost and it switches of project window :(
It's really annoying :(

Is anybody else encounter this problem?

Yep, I also see this.
That's one of the reasons I usually install Idea twice (and change the configuration to separate the config/system dirs), rather than opening two projects in the same Idea instance.

Yes, I know also this workaround but it's quite difficult to manage as soon as you have more than two projects to open...
One instance for each project, each cache/settings are duplicated, the memory and hard disk are really wasted.

Is there a jira issue on this bug? This is easily one of the most annoying bugs in idea ever! I usually keep always at least two projects open and every time I try to use any other program than idea, the focus steeling starts at once. For example while writing this reply, idea have stolen the focus approximately 20 times!

My environment is Kubuntu 7.04/gnome 2.18.1 if that makes any difference.

Hello Tuomas,

There is one: http://www.jetbrains.net/jira/browse/IDEADEV-420.

I am not sure that Regis wrote about the same initially. Your issue is specific
for linux, and not specific for project window, as Regis described.
