7.0M1b thinks Perforce files locally deleted

I can use IDEA 6 with Perforce without any trouble. But when I open my projects (or create new ones) in IDEA 7, IDEA thinks I have locally deleted every file. All of the files are still there, but IDEA 7 thinks otherwise. In addition, it shows all of the files as being unversioned. That is, it shows the same files as being both locally deleted AND unversioned. I'm using 7.0M1b, Build 6833.

I can correct the problem by telling IDEA 7 to rollback the local deletions. However, as soon as I make any changes to the project configuration (add a library, change an intention setting, etc.), IDEA 7 thinks I've locally deleted all of my files again.

Everything works perfectly with IDEA 6, and other folks here are not experiencing this problem with IDEA 7 so I'm guessing there's a configuration problem of some sort. But even if I copy their .ipr and .iml files to my machine, I get the same problems with Perforce. Any thoughts how I can resolve this problem?

Hello Lawrence,

Please change your client root definition to use backslashes instead of forward
slashes in the root path. You can also upgrade to the latest Selena EAP build,
which fixes this problem.
