maven 2 support

Can you give an example where this feature would be useful?

don't know if this is there already,

would it be possible to allow us to input mvn command to execute in a
textbox and execute the mvn command entered via the mvn 2 plugin?

i'm not sure weather i have fully explored the new set of maven plugin features
from what i have explored,i seem to lack a command line where i can just input the whole command and still execute it using the maven plugin

for example to pass some of the command line parameters, i understand that you can configure them, but lets say i want to use them just once and dont want to be configured permanently, there is no provision for this
an example of this would be, i might have multiple profiles within my project where i want to change the profile dynamically
